Rifted

Rifted is a fast-paced 2D roguelite arena platformer. Clear enemy waves, pick random perks, and adapt to wave mutators that change the rules each round.

Core loop

  • Fight through waves of enemies in a compact arena.
  • After each wave, choose a random perk to shape your build.
  • Every round can roll a mutator that buffs/debuffs enemies and changes the pace.
  • Enemies can drop active abilities. Grab them and use them at the right moment.
  • Wave 15 — a portal opens (end of the run / exit).

Abilities

Some enemies can drop abilities. Pick one up and trigger it with E.

Controls

  • Move: WASD
  • Jump: Space
  • Shoot: LMB
  • Use ability: E
  • Pick up ability: F
  • Drop ability: R

Note

This is my first game and my first real experience making a full project, so there may be bugs or rough edges. Please don’t judge too harshly. I’m learning and improving.

This was so fun! Core gameplay was good although a bit difficult, but not too difficult. the perk system was put together extremely well!
